DEI Hire cowardice
Interesting how the "Political Correctness is bull$h1t" crowd have glommed onto the term DEI. To be perfectly clear, here's what they're blatantly saying they are against:
DIVERSITY-- "e pluribus unum". Our nation's motto....
EQUITY-- We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men* are created equal. [*men: a definition we have long labored to further define as 'humans", not just white landholding men as originally intended]
INCLUSION-- Our work to redefine men [see above]. 13th Amendment abolishing slavery; 14th citizenship if born here; 15th voting is colorblind; The Enforcement Acts because insecure white men are not colorblind; 19th voting is gender-blind; Civil Rights / Voting Rights Acts of 1957, 1960, 1964, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1982, 1987, 1988, 1991, & 2006 because insecure white men are not colorblind, gender-blind, or class-blind and are comically desperate to be the only ones voting on this nation's course; 24th "let's charge money to vote so that poor folk can't do it"; And let's not forget the Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1972 which was designed to punish employers who engage in 'good ol' boys club' employment practices. Yes, I agree that hiring quotas AS IMPLEMENTED have had flaws in implementation and enforcement, but the philosophy behind the act was sound, and as always, insecure white men are not colorblind, gender-blind, or class-blind, and are comically / lethally desperate to retain their chokehold on "their birthright."
I guess what I'm saying is the anti-DEI cowards seem super-happy to have their own "PC-sounding" term so they don't have to risk using their favorite bigoted, misogynistic, homophobic, hateful pejoratives in the light of day. They don't even have the guts to use the words Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. They just say things like "DEI-hire."
